No. Yomu works completely offline. The dictionary is stored on your device.
You can add content by copying and pasting Japanese text from other apps, or by using the iOS Share Sheet. For best results, copying and pasting specific passages works better than sharing entire webpages.
Some apps and websites, particularly Safari, include furigana as part of copied text. When the structure is available, Yomu removes it automatically. In other cases, the text may already be flattened and cannot be cleaned reliably.
Yes. All your reading data, vocabulary, and progress stats stay on your device. No analytics or tracking are used inside the app.
